Headed to The Finals in Miami
Luice Perez and Anna Cortiles won the first ever PPL II regular season, and that puts them on court at The PPL Finals in Miami, December 3 to 6.
PPL II is the Pro Padel League’s new development league, launched this year as a pathway for the next group of players coming up in North America. The season ran across four events, opening in Miami in March and then traveling with the PPL to New York, Los Angeles and Playa del Carmen. Playing for the Las Vegas Smash, Luice and Anna won in Miami and again in Los Angeles, and finished the season with 22 points, two ahead of Toronto and Miami.
Winning the regular season comes with a wildcard into The Finals. Luice and Anna will play a play-in match against one of the PPL’s two lowest qualifying seeds, and the winner moves into the quarterfinals alongside the league’s main draw. Their opponent gets decided at the last regular season event in November.
Congratulations to Luice and Anna, and thank you to the Las Vegas Smash for backing them all season. See you in Miami.
